General Engineering Works was incorporated in 1972 , Since 1997 the company diversified into power sector and started manufacturing oil filled transformers and its assemblies up to 40 MVA 132 KV class. Backed on its quality and quick turnaround time it created a niche among the market. We have been supplying transformer and its assemblies to Areva / Schneider Electric for more than a decade. Today General Engineering Works lists multinational transformer companies and industrial houses as its major clients.

Ltd, an ISO 9001:2008 certified Co. has more than 35 years of experience and is pioneer in Installation, Repairing / Reconditioning and Condition monitoring of transformers of any rating from 50 KVA to 500 MVA 400 KV Class at site. Company has specialization in on-site repair of large transformers, which cannot be shifted to Workshop due to their size, weight , economical reasons & transit risks. It provides services at Clients’ doorstep by offering Mobile Workshop, capable of conducting repairs, reconditioning, dry-out of large transformers at site by various methods.
